Happy Maps from Ted.com

He moved from London to Boston for a work and then bought a riding bicycle to commute. For a few months, via a mapping app he commuted every day. One day he took a different way by accident or to feel different. After that, he found the way more beautiful and fabulous than going to work in a usual way.

As Einstein once said, logic will get you from A to B, but imagination will get you everywhere.

Thus, he wanted people to adventure or travel beautiful way for people going to work with extra minutes. In his research participants loved to attach memories to places where they had been not using the mapping app. It could recall how some paths smelled and sounded.

From his thought, what if we had a mapping tool that would return the most enjoyable routes based not only on aesthetics but also based on smell, sound, and memories? That's where he research is going right now with his colleagues from Yahoo!
